About us
Blue T and Darkheart have been working together on drum and bass projects since the mid 90’s in there mid teens where they meet on a music technology course, where there interest in drum and bass, jungle steered them to begin to acquire knowledge towards the technology that was involved in producing drum and bass music.
Since those humble beginnings they went on to work at a recording studio in London named Waterhouse Studios where they were able to apply the beginnings of understandings of the technology behind electronic music. During that time guests were invited to the studio,
which included the likes of Eastman, DJ ital, Dj Brockie, Dj Emtek,and DJ Papa G to name a
few who had popped in to the studio for various reasons.
During this time the internet station Ruff Radio was born out of an idea of Blue t ‘s, which Darkheart went on to do test streams, which once up and running had guests such as DJ Chook, Joe Rapid, Java, Deadlock amongst other up and coming DJ’s of the local area of which expanded to various Parts of the UK, Europe, and Canada.
The next and latest project was the Ruff DnB Recordings label, and has done fairly well with airplay from the likes of Radio one DJ Annie Mac, Some Kool fm Dj’s as well as origin fm DJ’s as well. The label has worked with producers Alter Ego, Dirty Deeds, Levela and Dual Process so far and has More to come, Watch this space!
Djing wise Blue T and Darkheart have done promotions such as Family Grove and spent various new years at outdoor events in Essex such as the Boom Sheva sound system promotions amongst various other promotions around London and The Essex area and have done radio shows on Rinse Fm, Origin Fm, Drum and Bass Worldwide and Planetdnb and Phuture Frequency.
While Blue T is busy with the label side of things on a day-to-day basis, Darkheart is gained a music technology diploma and is currently studying a degree for programming for audio. Both now getting older,but still are striving for there goals within music especially drum and bass.
